We Were Meant To Be
Author: Alena
In the green of rustling leaves on this rose
Pathways from water beads
Blend together like our hands,
Not quite touching one another yet,
But very close.
Enough to feel the tension,
Enough to share the passion,
Enough to simply know.
Your eyes whispering across the room
That life was born in colors one more time,
Shades of a rainbow shine through that look,
Tingling like a breeze
In those rustling leaves of my summer,
Caressing, and almost too warm.
Your smile glides over like a dancer in the wind,
Beautiful so, it almost hurts,
Magnificent gesture
That only my eye is meant to see,
Right then and right there I know
What feeling in you bursts,
And that we, you and I,
Were meant to be.
