On the Spur of the Moment Fantasy
Author: Joyce Hemsley
Every day's a lovely day
since I met my Love,
he walks with me, talks with me,
we fit just like a glove.
I'm sure he thinks about me
I'm sure I'm on his mind,
and as the autumn chill sets in
we'll cling just like the vine.
I'd be depressed without him,
reassurance - that's my plea,
I'm in a whirl about him,
is he the same about me?
I can see a lovelight shining
but I need more certainty,
on three little words I'm relying
to prove his sincerity.
In shadows of night I'm asking
God, bring three wishes to me:
I will wish for a smile, a hug
and a kiss, with a ring of eternity.
