I Will Be With You
Author: Joyce Hemsley
Dark clouds hovered over the sky,
after I dreamt you said goodbye,
there were no love songs left to sing.
Who could mend a broken wing?
At first I thought my heart would cry
and even worse, I thought I'd die,
but here I am all fresh and new,
because of course a dream isn't true.
So much magic we have known,
and so together our lives have grown,
never forget ~ that would be wrong,
we will remember, we will be strong.
Hearken well to the words I say,
I will think upon you every day,
in the morn as the sun peeps through
In all that I do, I will be with you.
