A Tango of Two Cities
Author: Copyright 2004 Diane Anjoue
There he appears, a stranger somehow familiar
words proffered, her smile returns,
upon redirect, she chuckles gems
Songs of sunshine, memories familier,
and she sings along...
A new day dawns, he lays in wait
morsels of sweetness, her heart he fills
she leads chase with no designs
they begin a dance of intimate chance
he isn't far behind...
Across the miles, keys rhythm click
he dips, she sways, tongue in cheek
a night sworn soundtrack, their musical
feathered fingers, quickstep light, they
promise to meet again...
Three timed charm, horizons broaden
touch lingers, trace evident in spades
footwork intricate, their divide bridged
a tango of two cities unites, and still
they dream and Believe....
