Kindred Spirits
Author: Joyce Hemsley
We were lovers in the spotlight,
just a boy and just a girl,
many moons ago now,
but still our words unfurl.
With a spotlight shining brightly,
words unravelled one by one,
and God whispered ever sweetly,
as we walked beneath His sun.
Adieu to winter shadows,
they were gloomy all the day!
The spotlight calmed our spirit,
gave us our wedding day.
Our plans were not forsaken,
they've shone through as a dream,
we are lovers in the spotlight,
and our life has been supreme.
